JOB SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Merchandiser will be accountable for daily operations of merchandising and translating analytical insights into action while enhancing the overall guest experience. This role will oversee the offline to online product lifecycle process, identify opportunities, analyze competition, and recommend new concepts to drive sales, conversion, site productivity and improve our customer's digital experience. Working closely with the sales, product, and marketing teams to optimize online merchandising sales and communicate online customer trends, this position focuses on the strategy and growth of this revenue stream, including cross-functional team management of Amazon merchandising and marketing processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced, e-Commerce business
- Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals.
- Knowledgeable of the e-Commerce space that includes marketing strategies, Amazon and Wayfair platforms, product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends and usability best practices.
- SEO Experience

- Experience bringing customer-facing e-commerce or omnichannel products to life.
- Experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Amazon Stackline

- Analytical mind, strong Excel aptitude required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, AND BEHAVIORS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Know the business; what to maintain, emerging trends and opportunities to grow. Analyze weekly & monthly reporting to identify opportunities for the channel, communicating key results and opportunities to cross-functional partners.
- Influence planning decisions through application of financial and site data. This includes assessment of sales forecasts, customer journey and conversion metrics, profitability goals, growth, and new business opportunities.
- Manage and execute a best-in-class content and merchandising strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to make merchandising decisions to generate positive KPI results.
- Effectively manage the presentation of the online assortment, including product information, category information and website merchandising to influence sales and conversion.
- Responsible for executing, maintaining, and improving the cross functional online product lifecycle process.
- Analyze competitor websites to ensure industry alignment with categorization, promotions, trends and best practices.
- Provide weekly in-depth reporting and insights to cross functional teams inclusive of customer journeys, product and category level KPIs, on site search, etc.
- Identify on-site opportunities & lead optimization efforts to achieve sales & improve site KPIs.
- Work with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure execution of seasonal launches (ex. Merchandising, Marketing, Ops).
- Align with content calendar to develop compelling content and storytelling pages alongside marketing partners.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitors, and eCommerce technology to deliver an inspiring friction free customer experience.
- Visually merchandise category/collection pages to ensure products are displayed in correct order to optimize conversion.
- Develop and recommend changes to online category strategy based on customer and competitor insights, brand strategies, analysis of KPIs and promotions.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, media assets, inventory and/or pre-orders.
- Multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail.
- Possess a strong knowledge of the eCommerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices, and industry trends.
- Use Spreadsheets or Excel (pivot tables, vlookups etc) in addition to web analytics to stay organized and monitor changes in product sales and identify opportunities for improvement.
- In office attendance is an essential function of this position.
